Dear Parents,
I am pleased to announce that our faculty, staff, and board members have begun work on the accreditation process for the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA).
SCISA is a non-profit, voluntary association of independent schools which establishes accreditation standards for member schools and coordinates athletics and academic competitions for schools within the association.
The accreditation process will be
on-going throughout the second
semester as we work toward acquiring
our accreditation by the beginning of
the 2010/2011 school year.
Not only will SCISA accreditation
allow our students to compete against
other independent schools in athletic
and academic competitions, but it is
also the first toward seeking academic
accreditation from other accrediting
agencies. As we continue to grow, PCAG will seek accreditation from Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) as well as from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
Accreditation from these agencies will build our reputation in the Greenwood community and throughout the academic community. It is also a means of holding ourselves accountable to maintaining high academic standards. There is much work to be done and our teachers, administration, and Board members value your prayers as we work our way through this process.
Sincerely,
Joan Gore
Principal
Moving forward with accreditation process
