GRANDPARENTS’ DAY 2008
(last year’s photo gallery)

Thank you to the Parent / Teacher Alliance (PTA) for organizing the first PCAG Grandparents’ Day on September 25th, 2008. Grandparents and special guests joined our students for lunch and heard what students are learning and doing at PCAG. We are thankful for our extended Palmetto Christian family. Students focus on obedience

during Grandparents’ Day ’09

Palmetto Christian Academy students and teachers welcomed families during a special Grandparents' Day on Friday, Sept. 11.

The program and refreshments were sponsored by the PTA.

The program's theme of "obedience" paid homage to one of

the core tenants of the school's philosophy: "When parents

choose to enroll their children in Palmetto Christian Academy,

they do not abdicate that responsibility but rather join with the

school in obeying God’s command."

Students demonstrated obedience in special ways during the

chapel program.

Following "Amazing Grace," a welcome and opening prayer,

kindergartners performed "This is My Father's World" on bells

and the skit "The Birthday Breakfast."

First through fifth-graders performed "Obey Right Away," while

third through fifth-graders sang "The Obedience Song." Middle school students offered a choral reading.

Seniors Rachel Burnett and Angie Schwab talked about the theme of obedience, focusing on people in the Bible who obeyed God even when it was hard to do. Among others, they talked about Noah, Moses and Paul.

The Palmetto Puppeteers presented "Joshua and Jericho" before the closing prayer.

Students then gave tours to grandparents before everyone enjoyed refreshments.
