PCAG offering text message alerts on your cell phone

Palmetto Christian Academy of Greenwood makes every effort to have quality communication with parents and students through various outlets.

The school is now offering the ability for our families to “opt in,” if they so choose, to receive text message alerts.

According to the school principal, Mrs. Joan Gore, she will:

“Set up a PCAG group on my cell phone to send text messages

when school-wide alerts need to be sent. This would only be used

in the event of unplanned events, such as school closings, delays,

or emergencies. I think I have cell phone numbers for most parents

but will not include you on the list unless you give me permission.

Please let me know if you would like to receive alert notifications

in this manner.”

Contact the principal via e-mail by clicking HERE if you would like to opt in. Please include your cell phone numbers and names for each number provided. Standard messaging rates apply. Please check your text messaging plan for rates if you do not have a text messaging plan.

PCAG also uses RenWeb, Twitter, Blogger, Facebook, e-mail and phone calls to communicate with parents and keep them informed of regular events, class news and notes, grades, homework, etc. In addition, you will find e-mail contacts on the faculty page to contact teachers and administrators. Please take advantage of the many ways in which the school offers you to stay in touch with PCAG and others.

Communication is a valuable asset in education.
