Physical activity helps students remain both physically and mentally healthy. Studies show that an increase in physical activity increases brain activity. As such, PCAG encourages students to be active. 

The Running Club program began in 2013 when third grade teacher Nancy Sprouse saw a need for a program that would give students attending after school an opportunity for more physical activity. It soon became clear, though, that more students were interested in participating in the program. What began as a program for just the usual 12 students who attended after school became a program that averaged 40 students in attendance. 

This year our Athletic Director Rebecca Fyock will head up the Run-Walk Club, and it will be held at the end of the school day instead of after school. Look for details in the coming weeks re: the starting date for this fun PCAG club!
